چکیده

This review paper presents the recent advances in numerical modelling of wave–structure–seabed interactions. The processes that are involved wave–structure interactions, which leads to sediment transport and scour effects, summarized. Subsequently, three most common approaches for is induced by interactions described. applicability each approach also included with a summary studies. These based on Reynolds-Averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations fluid phase, mostly differ how they tackle seabed response. Finally, future prospects research discussed.

Current Reynolds - averaged Navier – Stokes modelling approaches

The gas turbine presents significant challenges to any computational fluid dynamics techniques. The combination of a wide range of flow phenomena with complex geometry is difficult to model in the context of Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) solvers. We review the potential for large eddy simulation (LES) in modelling the flow in the different components of the gas turbine during a practic...

Advances in Numerical Modelling of Adhesive Joints

The analysis of adhesively bonded joints started in 1938 with the closed-form model of Volkersen. The equilibrium equation of a single lap joint led to a simple governing differential equation with a simple algebraic equation. However, if there is yielding of the adhesive and/or the adherends and substantial peeling is present, a more complex model is necessary. The more complete is an analysis...

Numerical Simulation of Shock-Wave/Boundary/Layer Interactions in a Hypersonic Compression Corner Flow

Numerical results are presented for the shock-boundary layer interactions in a hypersonic flow over a sharp leading edge compression corner. In this study, a second- order Godunov type scheme based on solving a Generalized Riemann Problem (GRP) at each cell interface is used to solve thin shear layer approximation of laminar Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. The calculated flow-field shows general...

Advances in Averaged Switch Modeling

The averaged switch modeling technique unifies the modeling of PWM and resonant dc-dc converters, low-harmonic rectifiers, and inverters in a simple manner. This technique is briefly reviewed, and recent results in modeling current-programmed dc-dc converters, integrated single-phase low-harmonic rectifier-regulators, and single-switch three-phase lowharmonic rectifiers are described. A circuit...

Simulation of Shockwave-turbulent Boundary Layer Interactions Usingthe Reynolds-averaged Navier-stokes Equations

The paper examines the capability for numerical simulation of three-dimensional shock wave turbulent boundary layer interactions using the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. Two con gurations are considered, namely, the single and double n interactions. Numerical simulations were performed by an international group of researchers as part of an AGARD-sponsored study of capabilities for s...
